Víkingur 2026 Kit Design
The third kit I’ve had the honor of designing for Icelandic Champions Víkingur Reykjavík.
The first two kits were mostly about breaking the mold of the traditional Viking jersey, breathing new life into it, and showing that it doesn’t always have to look the exact same. "We’ve always done it this way" is a dangerous mindset, and back then, it fit the Viking jersey all too well.
This time around, it felt right to return to our roots, but with a fresh approach. The application of gold felt well earned after the success of the last few years. The accompanying photos and motion graphics should give you a little glimpse into the thought process behind the jersey and where the inspiration came from.
